Getting to know one another

Your path to the MAC.

Admissions is a conversation between your family and our school. Each step gives us a fuller understanding of your child and gives you time to consider the partnership between home and school.

Applications are accepted year-round, with January re-enrollment priority for current families. Availability varies by classroom.

Plan Your Visit

Tour the school
A parent tour is required. Allow about an hour.
Experience the classroom
Your child visits, and parents meet with the Head of School. Children’s House visits may coincide with that meeting; Elementary and Erdkinder applicants attend at least one full day.
Complete your application
The school provides the online application link after your tour. Elementary and Erdkinder applicants also need a records release and teacher recommendation; their current school sends records directly to the MAC.
Receive a decision
Families receive written notification after completing the process. Accepted applicants may join a waitlist if their classroom is full; admission does not itself reserve a seat.

The $500 deposit is part of tuition. Payment columns assume it has been paid. Materials and registration fees are additional; scholarship credits and discounts are not reflected here.

One payment

Due August 15, 2026.

Two payments

Due August 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027.

Ten payments

August–May, on the 1st or 15th; confirm your assigned date.

Beyond tuition

Fees and the school day.

Registration Fee for New Students · $75
Tuition deposit · $500: Required for all students, with the materials fee, to reserve enrollment.
Materials · $200–$600: Program amounts appear in the table; payable with the deposit.

Before and after school

Before care: 7:30–8:15 a.m., $10/day or $1,125/year.
Aftercare: 3:15–6 p.m., $20/day or $2,250/year.

Confirm availability and enrollment arrangements with the office.

Other school-year purchases

Field trips, events, yearbooks, school pictures, and other normal school-related expenses are the responsibility of each family.

Making a Montessori education possible

Explore financial support.

The Montessori Academy of Florida participates in Florida's School Choice / Step Up for Students scholarship programs. Speak with the office about the programs currently accepted for your child’s classroom and how an award would apply to your balance.

School admission and scholarship approval are separate processes. Confirm funding before making your enrollment plans.

Florida scholarship options

Family Empowerment Scholarship includes Educational Options for K–12 students and Unique Abilities for eligible students with disabilities, including some children as young as three.

Florida Tax Credit Scholarship is another route to explore with an approved scholarship funding organization.

Funding organizations determine eligibility and awards. Visit Step Up For Students or AAA Scholarship Foundation for application guidance.

School discounts

The MAC provides a $1,000 military/first-responder discount and a 10% sibling discount (after the first child). Only one discount may apply per eligible student. Ask the office to confirm eligibility and calculate your family’s balance.
